How to use a Jarir Bookstore code
- Open the Jarir online store for your country (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar or Bahrain) and add your items to the cart.
- If you hold a Jarir discount card, enter its number at checkout; the 10% applies to most stationery, school and office supplies, books and laptop bags, not to electronics.
- Choose home delivery or free collection from a showroom, and check whether your total clears your country's free-shipping threshold.
- Pick a payment method; in Saudi Arabia you can also redeem Qitaf points, where 10 points are worth SAR 1.
- Confirm the order and check the discounted lines on the summary before you pay.
Delivery and fees in the UAE
Jarir UAE delivers free on orders of AED 200 or more and charges AED 20 below that. A device, a printer or a few textbooks will clear the line easily; a small stationery top-up usually will not. Parcels over 15 kg add AED 1 for each extra kilogram, which only tends to matter for bulk school orders or office furniture.
In major cities, delivery takes 1 to 3 working days, but Jarir allows up to 10 days for other areas, so residents outside the main cities should order well ahead of a school term. The store delivers to UAE addresses only. If you live near a showroom, collecting your order is free at any order value, which is the easy way to avoid the AED 20 fee on a small basket.
Returns and refunds in the UAE
The UAE store lets you return or exchange an item within 7 days of receipt, provided it is in its original condition. That is a short window for electronics, so unbox and test a new laptop or phone promptly rather than leaving it in the packaging for a week.
The UAE pages we read do not list category exclusions the way the Saudi store does, but they also do not publish how long a refund takes or whether return shipping is free. Keep the box, accessories and invoice together until you are sure. An exchange is also allowed in the same 7-day window, which can be simpler than a refund if you just need a different size or colour.
Paying at Jarir UAE
The UAE store takes Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and you can also choose to pay at a showroom. Tabby is available for orders between AED 200 and AED 5,000, which conveniently starts at the same figure as free shipping. Cash on delivery does not appear on the payment list, and Tamara and Apple Pay are not mentioned in our UAE facts.
For savings, the Jarir discount card's 10% on most books, stationery and laptop bags is the official route; Jarir does not publish a UAE promo code. Pairing the card with an order of AED 200 or more gets you both the discount and free delivery. Electronics fall outside the card, so on a device purchase the realistic savings are free shipping and, if you want it, spreading the cost with Tabby.

Before you pay at Jarir Bookstore in the UAE
- Check that the site shows AED prices. A code made for another Gulf country is rejected here, even at the same store.
- Delivery is free from AED 200; below that it costs AED 20. Check whether the threshold is measured before or after the discount, because a code can push the basket back under it.
- Tabby split the total after the code is applied, so you still keep the discount.
- You have 7 days to return. A refund normally excludes the discount you received.
- Prices are shown including 5% VAT. When a code is applied, VAT is charged on the discounted amount, so check the final total on the payment page.
Tips for saving at Jarir Bookstore in the UAE
- Have a Visa, Mastercard or Amex ready, or choose pay at showroom, since cash on delivery is not offered online.

- Outside the major cities, allow up to 10 days for delivery before a deadline such as the start of term.
- Pick up from a showroom to skip the AED 20 fee on small orders.
