Jarir is not a store where you hunt for a promo code. When we read its five Gulf FAQ pages on 18 October 2026, it published no general discount code in any country, and we found no reported codes worth listing either. The savings that do exist are structural: free shipping thresholds, free collection from a showroom, the Jarir discount card for books and stationery, and Qitaf points in Saudi Arabia.

Each of the five country stores (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE) sets its own fees, return window and payment list, and they differ more than you might expect. This page compares them using Jarir's own figures.

How Jarir discounts work

The closest thing Jarir has to a coupon is the Jarir discount card. It gives 10% off most school and office supplies, arts and crafts, books and laptop bags, and in Saudi Arabia you type the card number into checkout to get the discount online. The same card offer appears on the UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain stores. In Kuwait, the FAQ explains how to get one: a showroom customer service desk issues it against an invoice of KWD 50 or more, or for a KWD 5 fee, and it is valid for three years. Electronics, phones and computers are not part of the card's discount.

The other official offers are about delivery rather than price. The UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain stores ship free above a set order value, and Saudi Arabia, which has no free-shipping threshold, offers free collection from a showroom instead. Saudi shoppers can also pay part of an order with Qitaf points, at 10 points to SAR 1. None of these needs a code. If you see a Jarir promo code advertised elsewhere, treat it with caution, because Jarir does not publish one.

Getting the most from a Jarir order

Because the discount card covers stationery, books and laptop bags but not devices, the way to use it well is to separate those categories in your head. A back-to-school basket of notebooks, art supplies and a laptop bag gets the full 10%; a laptop in the same basket does not. If you are buying both, the card still applies to the eligible lines, and in Kuwait a single invoice of KWD 50 or more is enough to have the card issued free at a showroom.

Delivery is the other lever. In the UAE and Qatar, the free-shipping line is 200 in local currency; in Kuwait and Bahrain it is 20. Bundle small purchases into one order to clear it. Heavy orders add a per-kilogram charge above 15 kg in the UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain, and in Saudi Arabia the flat fee jumps from SAR 29 to SAR 79 above 30 kg. Collecting from a showroom avoids all of that where it is offered. Finally, plan instalments carefully in Saudi Arabia: Jarir refunds instalment purchases as store credit rather than cash.

Delivery and returns across the Gulf

Saudi Arabia is the outlier: delivery never becomes free, and every order below 30 kg pays a flat SAR 29, rising to SAR 79 for heavier ones, VAT included. In return, orders placed before 5pm in cities with a Jarir showroom arrive the same day, and elsewhere in 2 to 5 days. The UAE ships free from AED 200 and charges AED 20 below, with AED 1 per kg over 15 kg. Qatar mirrors that at QAR 200 and QAR 20. Both quote 1 to 3 working days in major cities and up to 10 days elsewhere. Kuwait ships free from KWD 20 and charges KWD 3 below via Aramex, adding KWD 0.100 per kg over 15 kg. Bahrain ships free from BHD 20, charges BHD 2 below and adds BHD 0.200 per kg over 15 kg. Delivery times for Kuwait and Bahrain are not published.

Returns are 7 days from receipt in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain, and 14 days in Kuwait. Saudi Arabia excludes books, electronics, software and prepaid cards unless they are defective. Whether return shipping is free is not published in any of the five countries.

Paying at Jarir in each Gulf country

Payment options differ sharply between the five stores. Saudi Arabia leans on instalments: Tabby, Tamara and Madfu are all offered, with Tamara covering orders from SAR 200 to SAR 5,000, and Qitaf points can be redeemed at 10 points to SAR 1. Cash on delivery is not currently available there. The UAE store takes Visa, Mastercard and American Express, payment at a showroom, and Tabby for orders of AED 200 to AED 5,000; cash on delivery is not listed. Kuwait is the one store that names a local network, KNET, alongside credit cards, payment at a showroom and the instalment providers Deema and Taly.

Cash on delivery costs extra where it exists, and only some orders qualify: KWD 1 in Kuwait, QAR 10 in Qatar and BHD 1 in Bahrain. In Kuwait and Bahrain, refunds on cash-on-delivery orders go back as store credit. Bahrain also offers Tabby for orders from BHD 20 to BHD 500, and mentions an overall spending limit of BHD 700. For Qatar, our facts do not list payment methods beyond cash on delivery. Apple Pay is not mentioned for any country, so check your checkout screen.

When a Jarir discount is rejected

If a code you found online does not work at Jarir, the likeliest explanation is that it was never a Jarir code. The store publishes no general promo code in any Gulf country we track, so a code field that refuses an entry is behaving as expected. Use the official routes instead: the discount card, free shipping thresholds, showroom collection and, in Saudi Arabia, Qitaf points.

If the discount card itself does not reduce the price, check what is in the basket. The 10% covers most stationery, school and office supplies, arts and crafts, books and laptop bags; electronics and other categories are outside it, and "most" means some items in those categories may be excluded too. Make sure you are on the store for the country where the card was issued, and that the card is still within its validity, which the Kuwait FAQ gives as three years. If the shipping saving disappears, the total has probably fallen below the free-shipping line after an item was removed, or the parcel has crossed the weight limit. A showroom customer service desk can check a discount card in person.

How to use a Jarir Bookstore code

  1. Open the Jarir online store for your country (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar or Bahrain) and add your items to the cart.
  2. If you hold a Jarir discount card, enter its number at checkout; the 10% applies to most stationery, school and office supplies, books and laptop bags, not to electronics.
  3. Choose home delivery or free collection from a showroom, and check whether your total clears your country's free-shipping threshold.
  4. Pick a payment method; in Saudi Arabia you can also redeem Qitaf points, where 10 points are worth SAR 1.
  5. Confirm the order and check the discounted lines on the summary before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

Which Gulf countries does Jarir Bookstore serve online?

Jarir Bookstore sells online in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, each with its own store and prices in local currency. We list codes and delivery terms for each of these countries separately.

Where are there the most Jarir Bookstore codes right now?

Jarir Bookstore codes are set per country. Right now we track 9 live offers across 5 countries; the UAE has the most (2). Pick your country below for the strongest code there.

Does Jarir have promo codes?

No. Jarir did not publish a general promo code on any of its five Gulf online stores when we checked on 18 October 2026. Its official savings are the Jarir discount card, worth 10% on most stationery and books, free shipping above each country's threshold, free showroom collection and, in Saudi Arabia, Qitaf points.

Does the Jarir discount card work on electronics?

No. The card's 10% applies to most school and office supplies, arts and crafts, books and laptop bags. Phones, computers and other electronics are not in that list. If your basket mixes the two, the discount lands only on the eligible stationery and book lines, which you can see on the order summary.

Is Jarir shipping free in the Gulf?

It depends on the country. The UAE and Qatar ship free from 200 in local currency, and Kuwait and Bahrain from 20. Saudi Arabia has no free-shipping threshold: delivery is a flat SAR 29 below 30 kg, or SAR 79 for heavier parcels. In Saudi Arabia, collecting from a showroom is the free alternative.

How long do I have to return a Jarir order?

7 days in most countries. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain all allow 7 days from receipt, and Kuwait allows 14 days. In Saudi Arabia, books, electronics, software and prepaid cards can only be returned if they are defective. Whether return shipping is free is not published for any country.

Is cash on delivery available at Jarir, and what does it cost?

In some countries, for a fee. Kuwait charges KWD 1, Qatar QAR 10 and Bahrain BHD 1, and only some orders qualify. Saudi Arabia does not currently offer cash on delivery, and the UAE does not list it. In Kuwait and Bahrain, refunds on cash-on-delivery orders come back as store credit.

Can I pay for Jarir with Tabby or Tamara?

Yes, in some countries. Saudi Arabia offers Tabby, Tamara and Madfu, with Tamara covering SAR 200 to SAR 5,000. The UAE offers Tabby from AED 200 to AED 5,000, and Bahrain offers Tabby from BHD 20 to BHD 500. Kuwait uses Deema and Taly instead, and Qatar's instalment options are not published.

Can I collect a Jarir online order from a showroom?

Yes. Showroom collection carries no shipping fee. In Saudi Arabia, Jarir holds the order for 3 days after it sends the ready SMS, the UAE and Qatar guidance describes pickup as free at any order value, and Kuwait's simply as free. It is the simplest way to avoid Saudi Arabia's flat SAR 29 delivery charge.

Can I order from one Jarir Gulf store for delivery to another country?

No. Each Jarir online store delivers within its own country: the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain stores state they ship domestically only, and each has its own prices and fees. Order from the store for the country where the parcel will be delivered. There is no Jarir online store for Oman.
