iHerb UAE: delivery, returns and customer service

Reviewed by Fadi NasserUpdated

In short

Here is the practical side of buying from iHerb in the UAE: who to contact, which air service to pick, which couriers deliver, why nothing is owed at the door, and how a return request works. Keep two figures in mind: AED 185, the basket at which standard Global Air ships free, and 30 days, the return window for most products.

Getting help

iHerb sends Gulf shoppers to an online help and contact area, linked as 24/7 support at the top of its pages. We did not find a UAE phone number, email address or WhatsApp number on the official pages we read, so plan to raise any problem through that help area or your account.

A message is handled faster when it carries the order number, the product name and a short description of the problem. For a damaged or leaking item, take photos before you throw away the packaging.

UAE air services, couriers and fees

Standard Global Air costs AED 20 on a basket under AED 185 and nothing from AED 185 up. If you would rather keep heat-sensitive products cool on the way, the climate-controlled service is charged at AED 30 until the basket passes AED 330, after which it is free.

The tracked standard service is delivered by SMSA, Elite or Aramex, so the delivery message may come from any of the three. The official pages do not state a UAE delivery time in days, which is a reason to reorder regular supplements a little early.

A quick comparison: a AED 250 basket ships free by standard air but pays AED 30 if you switch it to climate-controlled, because it is still below AED 330. Reaching AED 330 removes that charge as well.

Tracking, recurring deliveries and changes

Global Air with Tracking includes a tracked shipment. iHerb does not publish, on the pages we read, how to change a delivery address or cancel once an order is placed, so contact the help area quickly if something is wrong and quote the order number.

The UAE store offers Subscribe & Save, a repeat-delivery plan built from the items you pick and the interval you set. It is useful for supplements you take every day, but review the schedule in your account before each run if your needs change. Any saving it brings is covered on our iHerb coupon page.

Returning a product

The UAE return window is 30 days for most products and 90 days for iHerb-brand items. Requests go through the Orders page of your account.

  1. Work out the deadline: 30 days after delivery, or 90 days for an iHerb-brand product.
  2. Open the Orders page in your iHerb account.
  3. Choose the order, then the product you want to return.
  4. Explain the reason and add photos if the product is damaged or not what you ordered.
  5. Send the request and follow the reply from iHerb before posting anything back.

Refunds

The UAE information we hold does not give a refund time, the refund method or who pays for the return parcel. Ask these three questions when iHerb answers your request, and keep the order number and any courier receipt until the refund appears.

Duties, taxes and payment

Import duties and taxes on UAE orders are settled during checkout, so the total you approve is the total you pay and the courier should not ask for money on delivery. If a courier does, contact iHerb before paying.

The official pages we read do not list UAE payment methods. Check the payment step for cards, Apple Pay or any instalment option before you rely on one.

Frequently asked questions

Which courier delivers iHerb parcels in the UAE?

It will be one of three companies: SMSA, Elite or Aramex, for orders sent by Global Air with Tracking. You do not choose the company yourself, so watch for a message from any of the three after dispatch. The pages we read do not give a delivery time in days for the UAE, so leave a margin before you run out of a product.

Do I need to pay the courier anything for an iHerb order in the UAE?

No. Duties and taxes are settled when you pay online, and shipping is charged then too if your basket is below the free line. That means the courier has nothing to collect. If you are asked for money at the door, check with iHerb support first instead of paying on the spot.

Is climate-controlled shipping free in the UAE?

Yes, once the basket is above AED 330. Below that it costs AED 30, compared with AED 20 for standard air under AED 185. So a basket between AED 185 and AED 330 ships free by standard air but not by the climate-controlled service. Pick it when products need protection from heat on the way.

How do I return an iHerb product in the UAE?

Open the Orders page in your account, pick the order and the product, explain the reason and attach photos if it arrived damaged. Most products can be returned within 30 days of delivery and iHerb-brand items within 90 days. Wait for iHerb to reply with the next step before you send the parcel.

Can I change how often a Subscribe & Save order arrives?

Subscribe & Save is set up by choosing the products and a delivery frequency, so the schedule is yours to manage in your account. Detailed editing steps are not set out on the official pages we read. Check the next run before it ships, especially after a change in dose or a trip abroad.

Who do I contact if an iHerb parcel is late in the UAE?

Start with the tracking from the courier, which will be SMSA, Elite or Aramex for standard air. If that does not help, use the iHerb help area linked as 24/7 support, with your order number. We did not find a UAE phone line or email on the official pages we read.
