iHerb Saudi Arabia: delivery, returns and customer service

Reviewed by Fadi NasserUpdated

In short

This page covers what happens after you place an iHerb order in Saudi Arabia: where to ask for help, how the two air services and their couriers work, what the customs fee at checkout means, and how to send a product back. The two numbers most people need are SAR 150, the basket that ships free by standard Global Air with Tracking, and 30 days, the usual window to request a return.

Customer service

The Saudi storefront links to a help and contact area marked 24/7 support from the top of its pages, including the shipping page. The official pages we read do not print a phone number, email address or WhatsApp line for Saudi Arabia, so that help area is the route for a late parcel, a damaged product or a question about a return.

Before you write, open the order in your account and note the order number, the delivery date and the exact product. If the question is about sending something back, go straight to the Orders page, because that is where iHerb takes return requests.

Delivery services, couriers and fees

Saudi addresses can choose between two air services. Global Air with Tracking is the standard option: SAR 30 when the basket is below SAR 150, and free from SAR 150. Climate-controlled Global Air is meant for products that should be kept away from heat, and its line sits higher, with a SAR 40 charge below SAR 375 and no charge above it. iHerb describes the free thresholds as a limited-time offer, so look at the shipping page again if your basket is close to either line.

The courier follows the service you pick. A standard parcel goes with SMSA, Aramex or Shipa, while a climate-controlled one is carried by SMSA or Transcorp. The pages we read give no delivery time in days for Saudi Arabia, so order refills with a margin of time rather than on the day you run out.

Two checkout rules can change a basket. Supplements and food are capped at about a three-month supply for personal use, and cosmetics at 20 pieces per order. Anything made with alcohol, pork, nutmeg or poppy seeds is refused entry to the Kingdom, so read the ingredients of herbal blends and tinctures in particular.

Tracking, changing and cancelling an order

The standard service is sold as Global Air with Tracking, so a tracked shipment is part of it. The pages we read do not explain where the tracking link appears, how long you have to change an address, or whether an order can be cancelled after payment. iHerb does not publish a cancellation rule for Saudi Arabia.

In practice, check the order in your account and your email after paying, and contact the help area at once if you notice a wrong address or product. Acting before the parcel reaches SMSA, Aramex, Shipa or Transcorp gives the best chance of a change.

How to return a product

Most products can be sent back up to 30 days after they arrive, and iHerb-brand products up to 90 days after. iHerb looks at every request on its own, so a return is not approved by default, and a clear reason with photos makes the review easier.

  1. Check the date: count 30 days from delivery for most items, or 90 days for an iHerb-brand product.
  2. Sign in on sa.iherb.com or in the app and open the Orders page.
  3. Select the order and only the product you want to send back, so the rest of the order is not affected.
  4. Give the reason and attach photos if the item arrived damaged, leaking or opened.
  5. Submit the request and wait for iHerb to review it before you ship anything.

Refunds

The Saudi pages we read do not say how long a refund takes, which payment method it goes back to, or whether return postage is covered. Ask about these points when your request is approved, and keep the order number and any shipping receipt until the money shows on your statement.

Prices, VAT, customs fee and payment

Shelf prices in riyals already include 15% VAT. On top of that, iHerb has charged a ZATCA customs service fee at checkout from 6 October 2024 onwards, so the final total is higher than the sum of the products. Because shipping, VAT and this fee are all paid upfront, the courier should not ask for anything at the door.

A worked example: a SAR 140 basket sent by standard air pays SAR 30 for shipping plus the customs fee shown at checkout. Adding a SAR 10 item takes it to SAR 150 and removes the shipping charge, which leaves the customs fee as the only extra.

Saudi payment methods are not named on the pages we read, so mada, Apple Pay, instalments and cash on delivery cannot be confirmed here. Look at the payment screen first if you are counting on one of them for a large order.

Frequently asked questions

How do I contact iHerb customer service from Saudi Arabia?

Use the help and contact area that the Saudi site links to as 24/7 support at the top of its pages. The official pages we read do not list a Saudi phone number, email or WhatsApp line. Have your order number and delivery date ready, and for a return go to the Orders page instead, since requests are filed there.

When is climate-controlled shipping worth choosing?

When the basket holds products that should not get hot, such as items you would normally keep cool. It costs SAR 40 below SAR 375 against SAR 30 below SAR 150 for standard air, and it uses SMSA or Transcorp. For a basket of ordinary tablets and capsules, the standard service is cheaper and ships free from a lower total.

Where do I start a return for an iHerb order in Saudi Arabia?

On the Orders page of your iHerb account, not with the courier. Pick the order, select the product, give the reason and add photos if it arrived damaged. You have 30 days from delivery for most items and 90 days for iHerb-brand products. Wait for the review result before shipping anything back.

How long will my refund take?

iHerb does not publish a refund time for Saudi Arabia on the pages we read, and it does not say which payment method the money returns to. Ask when your return is approved, and keep the order number and any proof of shipment until the amount reaches your account, so you can follow up if it is slow.

Why is my Saudi checkout total higher than the product prices?

Because a ZATCA customs service fee is charged at checkout, as it has been from 6 October 2024, and shipping is added when the basket sits below the free threshold. VAT at 15% is already inside the shelf prices, so it is not charged again. Everything is paid at checkout, and nothing should be due when the parcel arrives.

Can I cancel or change an iHerb order after paying?

iHerb does not publish a cancellation or change rule for Saudi Arabia. If you spot a wrong address, product or quantity, contact the 24/7 help area straight away with the order number. The sooner you ask, the more likely a change is possible, because once the parcel is with the courier it is already on its way.
