Farfetch Oman: delivery, returns and customer service

Customer service

Farfetch lists no Omani phone number. The Contact us page on the Oman storefront connects to global customer service, and the returns page gives three cancellation numbers with UAE (00971454163660), Kuwait (0096522279504) and UK (00442039848044) codes. Hours, an email address and chat are not stated. When you get in touch, give your name, address and order reference.

Delivery and customs in Oman

Brands and boutiques have 2 business days to process an order, and items are then carried by DHL, UPS, FedEx, TNT or DPD. The Oman shipping page does not say which delivery zone Oman falls into; for the wider world its rough guide is 3 to 7 days in transit after dispatch. Express is available to most destinations, and the options and fees for your address appear at checkout. PO Boxes cannot receive deliveries.

Oman is missing from the list of destinations where duties and taxes are included. On a Delivery At Place (DAP) order the checkout price excludes import duties and sales taxes, which you pay to the courier to release the parcel from customs. Farfetch suggests checking the likely amount with your local customs office first. If an order is seized because duties were refused, documents were not supplied or you could not be reached, you may not get a refund.

Tracking and staying reachable

After the confirmation email, a second email brings the tracking number once the parcel ships; Orders & Returns, or the guest lookup, shows the same. In Oman tracking matters more than elsewhere, because the courier may need to reach you about duties or documents. Keep your phone on after dispatch. Some orders need a signature, a missed parcel may go to a collection point, and an uncollected one returns to origin. Farfetch publishes no way to change an order after payment.

Cancelling

Cancel in Orders & Returns by selecting the items and a reason and confirming, or through customer service. Before the order is prepared for shipping you get the full amount back, shipping included. After the label is printed a free return is arranged, with a full refund including shipping once the items are received and accepted, typically within 14 days depending on your payment provider. If you are unsure about paying duties, decide before dispatch: cancelling early is safer than refusing a parcel at customs. Made-to-order pieces allow only 48 hours.

Returning from Oman

Book the free return no later than day 30 after delivery, and send it from inside Oman; a return from another country is at your cost. Items must be unworn and unused, with tags and original packaging, beauty products sealed, and hygiene seals intact on lingerie, swimwear and hosiery.

1. In Orders & Returns, or through the guest order link, select Return Item(s).
2. Choose the items and the reasons.
3. Book a collection with your address, the number of packages and a time slot, or choose a drop-off point.
4. Pack each boutique's items separately in the Farfetch packaging, with brand boxes and dust bags.
5. Stick the return label on the outside, enclose any return note, and give the courier the waybill document.
6. Record the waybill number and ask for the label to be scanned.

Refunds

Processing can take up to 6 calendar days after the boutique receives the return, and the refund then reaches the original payment method within up to 14 days. Delivery costs are not refunded on a normal return, and Farfetch does not say that duties paid to the courier in Oman come back, so check with customer service before returning anything that carried duties. Account credit, if chosen, is valid 5 years and cannot be cashed out.

Payment

Oman prices are in US dollars. The payment page lists Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Discover, Diners and JCB, PayPal, Apple Pay and cryptocurrency, with Tamara in selected countries only. Cash on delivery and OmanNet are not listed. Card and PayPal payments are taken when you order, and an Omani bank may add a fee for a dollar payment to a UK-based company.
