Saudi Founding Day 2027
Reviewed by Huda SalehUpdated
Dates
22 February 2027 · Fixed date. Saudi Founding Day is an official holiday on 22 February every year by royal order. In 2027 it falls on a Monday, during the expected month of Ramadan.
Founding Day marks the start of Imam Muhammad bin Saud's reign in 1727 and the founding of the first Saudi state. A royal order in January 2022 made 22 February an official holiday every year. It is separate from Saudi National Day on 23 September.
The date is fixed. In 2027, 22 February is a Monday, and it is expected to fall during Ramadan, which is projected to start around 8 February 2027. Whether any extra day off is added depends on that year's announcement.
Last year Founding Day was Sunday 22 February 2026, a few days after Ramadan began on 18 February. We have not verified which stores ran Founding Day offers, so no participants are listed here.
Because Founding Day falls inside Ramadan again, stores may fold it into their Ramadan campaigns rather than run a separate sale. Check whether a Founding Day code works on the Saudi version of the store and alongside Ramadan offers.
