Wego is a comparison site first: most of the prices it shows send you on to an airline or an online travel agent. A smaller group of fares is sold by Wego itself under the Book on Wego label, and that is the only place its promo codes count. All six Gulf sites we checked on 18 October 2026 publish their codes on the same kind of official promo page.
The discounts are modest and capped, mostly in US dollars, so they matter more on a long-haul or family trip than on a short hop inside the Gulf. Below we cover how the codes work, what each country's payment filters show, how changes and refunds are handled, and what to try when a code is refused.

How Wego codes work
Wego publishes its codes on an official promo page for each country, and they apply only to fares sold through Book on Wego. If you click through from the results to an airline or an outside agent, the booking leaves Wego and no Wego code will be accepted there. That single rule explains most of the confusion shoppers run into.
The codes fall into a few groups. There is a welcome code for a new user's first flight, a loyalty code that opens from your third booking, a small general code for any Book on Wego flight, and a family flight code. The UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman pages also carry two hotel codes: one for stays with at least one child and one for premium stays above USD 700. A seasonal code for flights into Saudi Arabia appears on five sites but not on the Saudi site itself. Every code in our records is official, meaning Wego published it.
Caps are set in US dollars, apart from the Saudi-route code, which stops at SAR 75 or the local equivalent. No cap is published in dirhams, dinars or rials.
Getting the most from a code here
Because each code has a cap, the percentage on the label can mislead. A 5% code capped at USD 20 stops growing once the fare passes USD 400, so on an expensive ticket the real saving is a thin slice. The 2.5% general code tops out at USD 7, which is worth using only when nothing better fits your booking. Work out the cap first, then choose.
Order matters too. The welcome code is limited to a new user's first flight, so it makes sense to spend it on a pricier ticket rather than a cheap short hop. The loyalty code only opens from your third booking, so it rewards repeat travellers rather than first-timers. Families can split a trip into a flight booking and a hotel booking and use the family code that fits each one, on the sites that list both.
Wego's pages do not say whether two codes can be combined on one booking, and we found no rule about sale fares, so plan on one code per booking. The premium hotel code needs a total above USD 700 and runs until 31 December 2026.
Delivery, changes and refunds across the Gulf
Wego sells travel, not parcels, so there is no delivery charge or free-delivery threshold on any of its six Gulf sites. Our records also show no published return window, return fee or cash-on-delivery fee for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman. Where a shop page would list those numbers, the honest answer for Wego is not published.
What replaces returns is the change and refund process. For bookings made through Wego, its support team takes change and refund requests, but the airline's fare policy decides the outcome. The Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain support pages post policy updates for named carriers, including Kuwait Airways, Qatar Airways and Gulf Air, when flights are affected. If you finished the booking on a partner site, that partner is the one to contact.
On price, the Saudi site says the fares it displays already include the minimum payment fee. The other sites also let you filter results by payment method, and setting yours before you compare is the simplest way to see a realistic total.
Paying for Wego bookings in each country
Payment options differ more between Wego's Gulf sites than anything else. The Saudi site lists Mada alongside Tabby and Tamara in its payment filters. The UAE site shows Tabby, with both pay-in-4 and pay-in-3 plans, plus Tamara. Kuwait's filters cover cards, American Express, bank transfer and Diners Club. Qatar shows Visa, Mastercard, Amex, bank transfer and Diners Club. Bahrain and Oman have the widest spread: Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Diners Club, bank transfer and cryptocurrency.
Two cautions apply everywhere. First, a payment filter tells you a method exists for some fares, not for every fare; whether you can actually pay with Tabby, Tamara or a transfer depends on the provider selling the price you picked. Second, cash on delivery and Apple Pay are not published for any Wego market in our records, so do not plan around either.
Instalment plans are only listed on the Saudi and UAE sites. In Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, expect to pay the full amount by card, transfer or, in two of them, cryptocurrency at the time of booking.
When a Wego code is rejected
The most common reason is the fare itself. If the price you picked comes from a partner site rather than Book on Wego, the code has nothing to attach to. Go back to the results and choose a fare that Wego sells. The second reason is eligibility: the welcome code is for a new user's first flight, the loyalty code starts only at your third booking, and the family codes expect a booking that includes children, with the hotel version needing at least one child guest.
Check the product type as well. Flight codes will not work on hotels, and hotel codes will not work on flights. The premium hotel code fails if the booking total is USD 700 or less, and the Saudi-route code only covers flights into Saudi Arabia. Seasonal codes can also disappear quickly; that one was described as an October deal with no end date shown, so by November it may be gone.

How to use a Wego code
- Search for your route or hotel on your own country's Wego site and open the results.
- Choose a fare marked Book on Wego; codes are not accepted on bookings you finish on a partner or airline site.
- Open Wego's official promo code page for your country and pick a code, checking its cap and who it is for (new users, families, third booking onwards).
- Enter the code at checkout before you pay and make sure the discount shows in the total.
- Set your payment method in the results filter early, because the method you pick can change the final price.

The Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman sites did not show either provider. Even where they appear, the fare's provider decides, so check at checkout.
Does Wego offer cash on delivery?
Not published. None of Wego's six Gulf sites lists cash payment in our records, which is typical for online flight and hotel bookings. Plan to pay by card, by Mada in Saudi Arabia, by bank transfer, or with an instalment plan where your country's site offers one.
Can I combine a Wego code with a bank card offer?
Not published. Wego's promo pages do not say whether codes stack with bank or card promotions, or with each other. Assume one code per booking, and if your bank runs its own travel offer, compare the final price with and without the Wego code before you pay.
How do I change or get a refund on a Wego booking?
Through Wego support, if you booked with Book on Wego. The team handles the request but applies the airline's fare rules, so a non-refundable ticket stays non-refundable even if you used a code. Bookings completed on a partner site are handled by that partner, not by Wego.
