Almatar is a Saudi travel booking site and app for hotels, flights and car hire. Travellers anywhere in the Gulf can switch the site to their own region, yet the bill is always in Saudi riyals, so anyone paying with a card from the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman goes through a currency conversion.
When we read the site and its help pages on 18 October 2026, the only published discounts were two bank-card offers for Saudi cardholders, valid in the app until 31 December 2026. We found no codes aimed at the other five countries. The rules that matter most are general ones: coupons do not combine, and a coupon discount is not returned if you cancel.

How Almatar codes work
Almatar discounts come in two shapes. The first is a general coupon entered on the payment page, with its conditions shown in the Promotions section. The second, and the only kind we found live on 18 October 2026, is a bank-card offer: Al Rajhi Bank publishes codes that take 10 percent off domestic hotels and 5 percent off domestic flights in Saudi Arabia. Both run in the Almatar app until 31 December 2026 and need an Al Rajhi card.
The help centre sets out rules that apply to any coupon. Coupons last for a limited time, Almatar can cancel one that was issued in error or withdraw it, and a coupon cannot be combined with another offer. The discount part of a booking is also excluded from refunds, so if you cancel a reduced booking, the refund is based on what you actually paid. We found no codes published for the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman. For travellers outside Saudi Arabia, that leaves comparing fares and choosing how to pay as the main levers.
Getting the most from a code here
The bank offers come with tight conditions, and missing one of them is the quickest way to lose the discount. They work only in the Almatar app, not on the website, and only when you pay with an Al Rajhi card entered directly. Apple Pay, mada Pay and other digital wallets are excluded, even if the wallet holds the same card. The offers also cannot be used together with other codes or with gift cards, and they cover domestic hotels and domestic flights only.
Because coupons do not combine, a booking gets one discount at most. Choose the one that saves more on your specific trip: on a hotel, the 10 percent offer is the stronger of the two bank deals, while the flight offer is 5 percent. Think about flexibility before you apply any code. Some bookings are non-refundable, and on those that can be cancelled, the coupon discount is not refunded. Each cancellation, change or rebooking adds its own service fee, as set out in the help centre. A small discount on a fare you may need to change can end up costing more than paying full price for a flexible one, so read the fare rules first.
Booking, changes and cancellations across the Gulf
Almatar does not sell physical goods, so there is no delivery fee or return window to compare. The equivalents are the service fees for changes and the cancellation process. Each Gulf country appears as a region option in the site settings, and the help pages are shared across all six regions, which means the rules barely change from one country to another. Amounts for the service fees are not published on the pages we read; the help centre lists them in a Service Fees section for cancellation, changes, rebooking and class upgrades.
Cancelling works the same way everywhere. You press the cancel button on the website or in the app, and the request moves to WhatsApp, where an agent confirms it. In Bahrain's help notes, a cancellation is final only once both the agent and the customer have confirmed. Qatar's notes add that the refund policy for your booking is emailed to you after you ask to cancel. For flights, the UAE help notes say airlines usually let you cancel until 24 hours before take-off, for a fee. Some bookings, as the Saudi pages point out, cannot be refunded at all. Whatever the region, keep every message and email from the process until the refund arrives.
Paying: cards, wallets and instalments by country
Every Almatar booking is charged in Saudi riyals. You can pay with a card issued in another currency, yet the charge is turned into SAR, so a traveller in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman will see a converted figure on their statement, and their bank may add a foreign-currency fee. Almatar does not publish what that costs, since it depends on your card.
Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay are listed for all six regions. Saudi Arabia adds mada, which suits cards issued there. Tabby and Tamara appear on the payment page for splitting the cost, and the help centre lists them without limiting them to particular countries. Local networks such as KNET, BENEFIT and OmanNet are not mentioned. Qatar's region shows a book-now-pay-later option that lets you secure a hotel stay without paying upfront. Cash payment is not published as an option. If you hold one of the Saudi bank offers, remember that it only applies when you key in the card yourself; paying through Apple Pay or mada Pay drops the discount. For everyone else, a card without foreign-transaction fees is the simplest way to keep the riyal price close to what you pay.
When a code is rejected
With the bank offers, most rejections come down to the payment route. The code needs the Almatar app, an Al Rajhi card, and a card entered directly; using the website, a card from another bank, Apple Pay, mada Pay or any digital wallet will stop it. The offers also cover domestic trips only, so an international hotel or flight will not qualify, and they cannot sit alongside another code or a gift card.
General coupons have their own pitfalls. They run for a limited time, and Almatar can withdraw a coupon or cancel one issued in error, so an older code may simply be gone. A coupon will not combine with a fare that already carries another offer. If you are outside Saudi Arabia, note that we found no codes published for your region, so a code passed around online for the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman may not be genuine. When a code fails, check the terms in the Promotions section, confirm you are in the app with the right card, and if it still does not work, ask customer service on WhatsApp, which runs around the clock. Do not book a non-refundable fare on the assumption that the discount will be fixed later.
How to use a Almatar code
- Open the Almatar app (bank-card codes are app-only) or the website, and set your region in the site settings.
- Search for your hotel, flight or car and choose the fare, checking whether it is marked non-refundable.
- On the payment page, enter the promo code, after checking its conditions in the Promotions section.
- Pay with the card the offer names, entered directly; bank offers exclude Apple Pay, mada Pay and other digital wallets.
- Check that the discount appears in the total, which is shown and charged in Saudi riyals, then confirm the booking.
Frequently asked questions
Which Gulf countries does Almatar serve online?
Almatar sells online in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, each with its own store and prices in local currency. We list codes and delivery terms for each of these countries separately.
Where are there the most Almatar codes right now?
Almatar codes are set per country. Right now we track 2 live offers across 6 countries; Saudi Arabia has the most (2). Pick your country below for the strongest code there.
Does Almatar have promo codes for every Gulf country?
No. On 18 October 2026 the only published offers were two Al Rajhi Bank card deals for Saudi Arabia, covering domestic hotels and domestic flights in the app until 31 December 2026. We found no codes aimed at the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman, so travellers there rely on fare comparison and payment choices.
Can I combine two Almatar coupons or a coupon with another offer?
No. The help centre says coupons do not combine with other offers, and the bank deals add that they cannot be used with other codes or with gift cards. Each booking gets one discount at most, so pick the one that takes more off your particular hotel or flight.
If I cancel a booking, do I get the coupon discount back?
No. The discount amount from a coupon is not refunded when you cancel. Your refund, where the booking allows one, is based on what you actually paid, minus any service fees. Some bookings are non-refundable altogether, so check the fare rules before applying a code to a trip that might change.
Do Almatar codes work on the website or only in the app?
The bank-card offers are app-only. Al Rajhi's hotel and flight deals must be redeemed in the Almatar app with an Al Rajhi card. For general coupons, read the terms in the Promotions section, which state any channel limits. If a code fails on the website, trying the same booking in the app is a sensible next step.
Can I pay for an Almatar booking with Tabby or Tamara?
Yes. Both appear on the payment page, and the help centre lists them without restricting them to particular countries. That lets you spread the cost of a hotel or flight. The amount you split is in Saudi riyals, like every Almatar charge, so travellers outside Saudi Arabia should check how their instalment plan handles the conversion.
Which currency will I be charged in?
Saudi riyals. You can choose the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman as your region and use a non-riyal card, yet the charge is still turned into SAR. Your bank sets the exchange rate and any foreign-currency fee, which Almatar does not publish, so check your card terms before a large booking.
How do I cancel an Almatar booking?
Press the cancel button on the website or in the app. The request then moves to WhatsApp, where an agent confirms it with you. The help centre sets out extra service fees for cancelling, changing and rebooking, and some bookings cannot be refunded, so check what applies to yours before you start.
How can I reach Almatar customer service?
By WhatsApp, around the clock. In Saudi Arabia the phone line is 920005511 and the WhatsApp number is +966920005511, both available 24/7. The UAE contact page also lists X, Instagram and Facebook. WhatsApp is the channel used to confirm cancellations, so it is usually the quickest route for booking problems.
