Delivery memberships in the Gulf: prices and break-even, 2026

Reviewed by Omar KhatibUpdated

Short answer

As of October 2026, Amazon Prime costs AED 16 or SAR 16 a month (AED 140 or SAR 140 a year), noon One costs AED 24.99 or SAR 29.99 a month (AED 143.88 or SAR 143.88 a year), talabat pro starts at AED 19, KD 2.5 or QAR 30 a month, and Careem Plus is AED 29 a month. A membership pays for itself when the monthly fee divided by your usual delivery fee is smaller than the number of qualifying orders you place each month.

What each membership costs in each country

We read each provider's own page on 26 October 2026. Where a provider shows a "from" price, the real price can depend on the plan or a promotion running when you join. A cell marked "not confirmed" means we could not find a price on an official page; it does not mean the service is missing.

The table shows a clear split. Shoppers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia can choose between the two big marketplace memberships. In Kuwait and Qatar the confirmed option is talabat pro, which covers food and groceries rather than general shopping.

How to work out your own break-even point

A delivery membership is a bet that you will order often enough. To check the bet, use one division: monthly fee ÷ the delivery fee you would otherwise pay on one order = orders needed each month. Round up. If you already place more qualifying orders than that, the membership saves money.

Two details decide whether an order counts:

  • The minimum basket. Most memberships waive the fee only above a set order value. A AED 20 snack order on noon Food does not count if the threshold is AED 30.
  • The fee you actually see. Delivery fees change with the store, the distance and the time of day. Look at the last five baskets you checked out and use the typical fee, not the highest one.

A worked example, with an assumed fee: suppose your usual delivery fee in the UAE is AED 6. This is a figure for illustration, not a quoted rate.

  • Amazon Prime monthly: 16 ÷ 6 = 2.7, so three orders a month.
  • talabat pro from AED 19: 19 ÷ 6 = 3.2, so four orders.
  • noon One monthly: 24.99 ÷ 6 = 4.2, so five orders.
  • noon One annual: AED 143.88 is AED 11.99 a month, so 11.99 ÷ 6 = 2 orders.
  • Careem Plus: 29 ÷ 6 = 4.8, so five orders, before counting its ride credit.

The annual plans change the maths the most. They only help if you are confident you will keep ordering all year, because a year paid up front is money spent even in months when you travel.

Amazon Prime: the lowest fee, with UAE extras

Prime is priced the same in both countries where Amazon runs a local store: 16 a month or 140 a year, in dirhams on Amazon.ae and in riyals on Amazon.sa. Both pages offered new members three months at 8 a month before the price returns to 16. Paying yearly costs 52 less than twelve monthly payments of 16.

What both countries get: free same-day and next-day delivery, free shipping on international orders from the US, the UK and Germany, Prime Video, and member deals including early access to sale events. The Saudi page adds Amazon Luna games.

The UAE page lists more delivery value on top:

  • a free Deliveroo Plus membership, which Amazon values at AED 228 a year;
  • free 15-minute delivery through Amazon Now for Prime members;
  • 10% off Amazon Home Services.

The Deliveroo benefit matters for the break-even sum. If you would otherwise pay for a food-delivery membership, Prime in the UAE may replace it. Amazon's Saudi page also says paid members who have not used their benefits can get up to a full refund of the current period when they cancel. See our Amazon store page for current offers.

noon One: one fee, several minimums

noon One covers several noon services, and each has its own free-delivery threshold. These are the figures on noon's UAE and Saudi pages:

ServiceUAE minimumSaudi Arabia minimum
noon, next-day (Express items)AED 50SAR 50
noon, same-day (Express items)AED 100SAR 100
Food partnernoon Food, AED 30Jahez, SAR 30 at select restaurants
noon MinutesAED 25SAR 30
SupermallAED 50SAR 50
NownowAED 50SAR 150

The Express thresholds exclude bulky and seller-shipped items. noon's Saudi help centre adds that free same-day delivery above SAR 100 is for Riyadh only.

Prices. The monthly plan is AED 24.99 in the UAE and SAR 29.99 in Saudi Arabia. Both annual plans were shown at 143.88 billed yearly, against crossed-out prices of AED 299.98 and SAR 359.88. Members also get 10% off on the 1st of every month. The UAE page lists a AED 29.99 bundle that adds Yango Plus or OSN+, and the Saudi page lists a SAR 39.99 plan with OSN+.

Trials and cancelling. The UAE page says the trial length varies and is shown before you confirm; the Saudi help page lists seven days, once per local mobile number. You must cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, and noon's UAE page says cancellations are non-refundable.

talabat pro: the food and grocery membership

talabat pro waives the delivery fee on eligible orders from highly rated restaurants and on groceries from talabat mart and other speciality stores. talabat publishes "as low as" prices, so the plan offered to you may cost more.

  • UAE: from AED 19 a month, with a two-week free trial and double reward points (talabat UAE).
  • Kuwait: from KD 2.5 a month, with a two-week free trial (talabat Kuwait).
  • Qatar: from QAR 30 a month, with a one-month free trial (talabat Qatar).
  • Bahrain: we found no talabat price page. The service is offered there: Al Salam Bank is giving six months of talabat pro free to its Visa credit and prepaid cardholders from 11 to 31 October 2026, for the first 3,500 subscribers.
  • Oman: we could not confirm a talabat pro price as of 26 October 2026.

The key word on every talabat page is "eligible". Not every restaurant or order qualifies, so check that the delivery line in your basket shows zero before you pay. Our talabat page tracks current codes.

Careem Plus: rides and food in one fee

Careem's help centre lists Careem Plus at AED 29 a month. The benefit card on that page also shows an annual option at AED 19 a month. In Dubai and Abu Dhabi the listed benefits are:

  • 10% credit back on 10 rides a month;
  • no delivery fee on Food and Quik orders above AED 30 after discounts and promos, at select restaurants;
  • no delivery fee on Shops orders above the merchant's own minimum;
  • member rates and zero fees on Send Abroad transfers;
  • buy-one-get-one deals on DineOut, 30% off bike day passes, 10% off home, spa and health care services, and priority support.

Al Ain has a separate, shorter list, and Careem warns that some promotional plans may not include every benefit. We could not confirm Careem Plus prices outside the UAE.

Careem Plus suits people who take taxis as well as order food, because the ride credit adds value that a pure delivery membership lacks. Note the phrase "after discounts and promos": a promo code that takes a AED 35 order below AED 30 brings the delivery fee back.

Mistakes that cancel out the savings

  • Paying twice for the same benefit. UAE Prime members already get Deliveroo Plus. Before joining talabat pro or Careem Plus, check which apps you really use, and whether a bank card gives you a membership free, as Al Salam Bank's October offer does in Bahrain.
  • Letting a trial roll over. noon renews automatically unless you cancel 24 hours ahead, and its UAE page says cancellations are non-refundable. Set a reminder for two days before the trial ends.
  • Codes that push the basket below the minimum. Careem measures its AED 30 food threshold after discounts. Do the sum after the code, not before.
  • Counting the wrong orders. noon's same-day threshold covers Express items only and excludes bulky and seller-shipped goods. A fridge from a third-party seller will not ride free.
  • Buying the annual plan in a busy month. Sale seasons make memberships look essential. Decide based on an ordinary month.

Frequently asked questions

Which delivery membership is cheapest in the UAE?

By monthly fee, Amazon Prime is the lowest at AED 16, or AED 8 a month for the first three months for new members. On an annual basis Prime costs AED 140 and noon One AED 143.88, so they are close. The cheapest for you depends on where you order most: Prime suits Amazon shoppers and includes Deliveroo Plus, while noon One covers noon, noon Food and noon Minutes.

Is noon One available in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman?

We could not confirm a noon One price for Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman as of 26 October 2026. noon's membership pages with prices that we could read were for the UAE and Saudi Arabia. If you shop on noon from another Gulf country, check the noon One section of the app for your country before assuming the UAE or Saudi price applies.

How many orders do I need before talabat pro pays off?

Divide the monthly price by the delivery fee you usually pay, then round up. At the advertised starting price of AED 19 and an assumed AED 6 fee, that is four orders a month. In Kuwait, divide KD 2.5 by your own usual fee in the same way. Only eligible orders count, so check that your usual restaurants waive the fee for members.

Can I get a refund if I cancel a delivery membership?

It depends on the provider. Amazon's Saudi Prime page says paid members who have not used their benefits are eligible for up to a full refund of the current period. noon's UAE page says noon One cancellations are non-refundable, and the membership stays active until the end of the billing cycle. Cancel at least 24 hours before noon's renewal date to avoid the next charge.

Does a promo code affect free delivery on a membership?

It can. Careem says its AED 30 food threshold applies after discounts and promos, so a code that lowers your basket below AED 30 brings back the delivery fee. Other memberships also set minimum order values, so a large code may have the same effect. Apply the code first, then check the delivery line in the basket before paying.

Is the annual plan worth it?

Only if you will keep ordering every month. Amazon Prime's annual plan saves 52 compared with paying 16 monthly for a year. noon One's annual plan was shown at 143.88, about 11.99 a month, compared with AED 24.99 or SAR 29.99 monthly. That roughly halves the number of orders you need each month, but the money is paid up front and noon does not refund cancellations.
