# IKEA UAE: delivery, returns and customer service

## Customer service

IKEA UAE's terms list 800 4532 for IKEA Shop Online. The payment and terms pages we read on 26 October give no email address or opening hours; they point to the Contact us page and to your nearest store instead. For codes, see our IKEA UAE coupon page.

## Delivery options and fees

The delivery page prices accessories at AED 10, free above AED 250, and furniture at AED 45. The general terms say fees depend on location, size, weight and value, and they list higher figures, so the amount at checkout is the one to trust. Same-day delivery is available in Dubai and Abu Dhabi only, for orders placed before noon; upgrading to an express service costs extra.

Items from the AS-IS section have their own delivery charge: AED 100 within the same store location and AED 300 outside it. IKEA will not carry kitchens, furniture or appliances up a stairway, so check lift access for upper floors. Click & Collect is free, but collection orders not picked up within 48 hours of the ready notice are cancelled.

## Tracking and rescheduling

A Track order link in the site header leads to a self-service page for following your order. To move a delivery, IKEA prefers the request 48 hours before the appointment, and the order can only move to the next available slot. If repeated rescheduling adds up to more than 14 days, the order is cancelled. Click & Collect orders cannot be rescheduled.

## Changing or cancelling an order

Once the confirmation email has been sent, you cannot change products or add more, and changes after purchase may cost extra. Cash-on-delivery and Click & Collect orders cannot be partly cancelled: you cancel the whole order and place a new one. If IKEA itself rejects an order after taking payment, the full amount is refunded within three working days of the rejection notice.

## How to return a product

Unopened products can go back within 90 days; IKEA Family members get 120 days. Some items cannot be returned at all: anything bought from AS-IS, and custom quartz worktops once installed and signed off, unless faulty.

- Check that the product is unopened and still inside the window: 90 days, or 120 with IKEA Family membership.
- Keep the order confirmation or receipt as proof of purchase.
- If you paid cash on delivery, take the product to a store, since COD refunds and exchanges are handled there.
- For card payments, return through a store or the Contact us page and keep the return receipt.
- If an item was missing from a cash-on-delivery order, report it within 2 days of delivery.

## Refunds

Card refunds are sent to your bank, and the time they take to reach the card depends on the bank: from 1 business day to 3 weeks. Cash-on-delivery refunds are given in store. Purchases paid with a gift card or refund card are refunded as a return voucher or refund card, not as cash.

## Payment methods

Online you can pay with Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Apple Pay or PayPal, an IKEA gift card or the IKEA Wallet, or use Blue Rewards points. Google Pay and Samsung Pay work in store only. Instalments are available through Tamara, Tabby and FAB. Tabby splits the bill into 4 interest-free payments, 25% now and the rest over 3 months, and needs you to be 18 or over with a valid Emirates ID; it cannot be used with cash on delivery, gift cards or IKEA Food.

Cash on delivery works on all products and across UAE delivery areas for an extra AED 10. It is paid in dirhams only, cannot be combined with a card or a gift card, and the driver needs exact change. Gift cards hold AED 50 to AED 5,000, are loaded once and work only in the UAE.

### Does IKEA UAE charge extra for cash on delivery?

Yes, AED 10 added to the order total. Cash on delivery is available on all products and in all UAE delivery areas, but it is paid in dirhams only, cannot be mixed with a card or gift card, and cannot be partly cancelled. Refunds on these orders are given in store.

### How do I reschedule an IKEA delivery in the UAE?

You pay 25% upfront and the rest over 3 months. Tabby cannot be used with cash on delivery, gift cards or IKEA Food.

### Can I return an AS-IS item to IKEA UAE?

No. IKEA's UAE terms say AS-IS items cannot be returned or exchanged, and they carry no after-sales service. Delivery of AS-IS items is also charged separately, at AED 100 within the same store location and AED 300 outside it, so measure carefully before buying.

### Will IKEA deliver furniture to an upper floor without a lift?

No. IKEA's UAE terms say it will not deliver kitchens, furniture or appliances using the stairway. If your flat is above the ground floor, check that the lift can take the boxes before you book. Assembly also excludes wall-mounting decorative items and moving existing furniture.
