# IKEA Saudi Arabia: delivery, returns and customer service

## Customer service

IKEA Saudi Arabia lists 8003040098 as its call-to-purchase number, where a sales advisor can help with products, stock, payment, delivery and collection. For other questions there is a contact form on the Contact us page. The FAQ we read on 26 October gives no WhatsApp number, email address or opening hours for IKEA itself.

If you paid in instalments, the provider has its own support. Tamara offers webchat daily from 9 am to 1 am and a call centre on 8001240441 from 9 am to 5 pm Saudi time. ## Delivery options and fees

Standard home delivery is priced by what you buy: a parcel delivery is SAR 19 and a large-furniture delivery SAR 99, and both are free once the order reaches SAR 1,500. Same-day express is SAR 39 for a parcel and SAR 199 for furniture, and it runs only in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dhahran and Madinah. The FAQ adds that the cost shown at checkout depends on the size of the order and the address.

Collection is the free alternative. Orders for an Order & Collection Point are ready within 48 hours and you get a notification when they are. Bring proof of payment; someone else can collect for you if they carry the receipt. The site also notes that a new IKEA store is coming to Shubaily Mall in Al Khobar.

## Tracking and missed deliveries

Once an order is dispatched, IKEA sends tracking information by email. If you paid with Tamara or Tabby, the FAQ says to ask IKEA support to track the order, and the instalment app then shows status updates. If you are not home when the delivery arrives, IKEA contacts you to rearrange it, and a second delivery may cost extra.

## Changing or cancelling an order

IKEA warns that changes may not be possible once an order is placed, so check sizes and quantities before you pay. To cancel, follow the instructions in your order confirmation email or contact customer service. Delivery fees are not refunded once the order has shipped, so a cancellation before dispatch is the cheaper outcome.

If the order was financed through Tasheel, the loan can be cancelled free of charge within 10 days of the booking date; later cancellations may carry charges.

## How to return a product

Unopened products can be returned within 365 days with proof of purchase for a full refund, either at a store or through customer service. Mattresses have their own rule: you can swap one within 90 days if its firmness does not suit you.

- Keep the product sealed in its box until you have checked measurements and fit.
- Find your proof of purchase, such as the order confirmation or receipt.
- Take the product to an IKEA store, or contact customer service to arrange the return.
- If you paid through Tasheel, return it at the store where you bought it and be ready to confirm the refund with a one-time password.
- Keep the return receipt until the refund appears on your statement.

## Refunds

IKEA usually processes a refund within 14 days of receiving the returned items. Tamara and Tabby refunds follow their own timing: for purchases made within the last 14 days, the money goes back to mada and credit cards immediately; for older purchases, mada refunds can take up to 5 business days. Depending on your bank, the amount may take up to 21 business days to show.

Delivery fees are not part of the refund once an order has shipped. For a Tasheel purchase, the refund to your Tasheel account needs a one-time password and must go through the original store.

## Payment methods

Online, IKEA accepts major credit cards and other options shown at checkout. Three instalment services are offered: Tasheel over 6 to 36 months, Tamara in up to 24 payments, and Tabby in 4. Tamara and Tabby accept mada, Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay for the instalments.

Orders placed by phone are paid through a secure link sent by text message, processed by PayFort by Amazon and valid for 5 hours. Order & Collection Points take cash, credit and debit cards, and sell gift cards from SAR 100. The FAQ does not mention cash on delivery.
